Celebrate your Impulses - Quartets

Sherpa has developed a quartet game for and about highly sensitive, sensitive, overexcitable children (from 0-100 years). In what ways are you extra sensitive? What bothers you? What can you do then? When is it actually nice?

To understand yourself and to understand others. To show that you are not crazy, weird, a whiner or oversensitive.

For most gifted, sensitive children, not only do more stimuli come in, but these are also processed at a deeper, more intensive level. That can be nice, but it can also cause problems. A child can feel strange, an outsider, the only one who experiences something so strongly. The outside world can react negatively: 'don't exaggerate so much', 'don't be so difficult', 'it really doesn't hurt that much', 'sit still for once'.

The quartet was developed to (literally) put the topic on the table in an accessible, playful way. You can talk about it afterwards. Or not; the message 'You're not crazy' will still get through. Children will find recognition; 'I'm certainly not the only one'. Parents will sigh with relief: 'It's just part of it'. Teachers will gain more understanding.
