Reminders - Executive Function - Teachers

A practical tool full of reminders to support students, and perhaps yourself, in developing their executive functions.

As you probably know, you can support your students in developing their executive functions (EF) during all (lesson) situations.
You might think that paying attention to EF development is an 'extra' task, but that's precisely not the purpose of the Reminders. The word 'reminders' says it all: You often know it, but you are no longer aware of it.
By deciding for yourself for a certain period which reminder you will focus on during your lessons, you are consciously working to help your students. It can be that simple.

For each executive function (EF), we have gathered reminders for you. You may find the same reminder appearing with multiple EFs. This is correct! You always practice several of them.

The purpose of the Reminders is for you to focus on one (or more) for yourself for a period you determine. During this period, when teaching your (mentoring) lesson, you will consciously pay attention to the pedagogical, didactic, or psychological approach of the chosen reminder(s).

It offers additional insights and practical applications for specific reminders, so you can make optimal use of them during your lesson and thus help your students take another step forward in their development.
