This is a collection of puzzles and riddles that you can use to challenge a class, a gifted class, or just your own child. You can give the children one riddle each week: there are 35 of them. Together, the images in the correct order form a beautiful picture. This way, you can get through almost the entire year!
But how does it work?
This printable contains:
By purchasing this printable, you obtain permission to use the materials for 1 class. Distribution to other teachers or other interested parties is not permitted.
-Print the assignment cards single-sided and in color. Choose '2 pages per sheet'. This way, the squares will be the correct size.
-Have the children draw 36 squares, 6x6 squares, on an A2-sized piece of paper, using a ruler of course! You will need to measure the size of the squares yourself (see the assignment cards), as this depends on your printer settings. See the following pages for an example. Have the children write the answers to the riddles in the squares, just like the example on the following pages. The children may take this 'answer sheet' home.
-Give the children 1 riddle each week. Please note: do not do this in printing order, because then the image pieces will also be in order! The first time, also include the explanation card (see next page).
-The answer to the riddle indicates where the image piece can be glued onto the answer sheet.
-There is also a document with all the answers and image numbers. This way, as a teacher, you know which picture goes in which place.
