COOL! - bully
Tess is used to bullying children at school, but she's not really mean... or is she? Tess thinks she's cool and doesn't see that she's hurting children. A group of children, the teacher, and the gym teacher want to help Tess change her behavior. What will Tess do, will she accept the help?

Review:
The reflections and depictions by Frankel and Heaphy touch the heart of the bullying process: those who feel unhappy seemingly rid themselves of it by making someone else unhappy. By remaining true to oneself and by being proactive, the bullied person can overcome this. The books are appealing to students in terms of text, but also a feast for the eyes. They will be very useful in a school where teachers offer openness and safety to each other, just as they expect it from their students.
