Penguins on Ice - Counting Activity Set (110-piece)

These cool penguins reinforce counting, patterning, sorting, operations, and base-10 structure!

With ice bars that can each hold up to 10 penguins. The ice bars can be connected in two ways: horizontally (to form a number line up to 100) or vertically (to form a hundred chart).

Educational elements:

• Basic Concepts - Use these rubber penguins to teach basic concepts such as colour identification, matching, and identifying similarities and differences.
• Mathematics - March these penguins all in a row to introduce AB patterns! Up to ten students can practise this skill: give each of them a bar and a handful of penguins to create a simple repeating pattern.
• Fine Motor Skills - To get these penguins in position, students use manual skills to pick them up one by one, turn them and flip them to position them, then hold them and push them firmly onto the pins of the ice bars. This helps students practise fine motor skills, such as pincer grip, hand-eye coordination, and finger and hand strength.
