Learn to think more positively and dare more!
Mindsets, thought and behavior patterns, can range from a fixed to a growth mindset. It is possible to consciously work on a growth mindset, assuming that development and improvement are possible. You do this primarily by learning to think differently: that it's okay to make mistakes, that you can learn from trying, and that you can get better and better through practice. You will then notice that your feelings and behavior will also automatically change. You will not only think more positively but also dare more!
The MINDSET conversation cards explain how your brain learns, what you can do when someone criticizes you, how to learn to think positively, and so on. The questions on the cards encourage students to actively work on a growth mindset.
The cards are intended for children in primary education. They can be used with individual students or groups of up to four children. A teacher, parents, or child coach can guide the thinking process and ask targeted follow-up questions, for example, with challenging questions:
• What's the worst that could happen?
• Does it help if you keep thinking this way?
• What could you think instead?
There are three types of cards, which can be used sequentially:
Explanation of learning and mindset (10 cards)
Helpful thoughts (10 cards)
Getting started with your growth mindset! (24 cards)
