Summary:

A masterfully told novel, nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize 2020. Highly recommended for ages 12 and up. Emma misses her home. After moving from Ireland to Germany with her mother, brother, and sister, nothing is the same anymore. She misses her native country, the Atlantic Ocean, and her Irish grandparents. Not even the Baltic Sea can comfort her. Emma wants only one thing: to return to Dublin as soon as possible. Levin, a boy from her new class who has his own big worries, offers her his help. But at a certain point, he seems to no longer want her to leave. And Emma herself also begins to doubt her escape plan.
