Brain Heroes for group 1-2
Meet the Brain Heroes Effi and Furon. These heroes teach your students how they can strengthen their Brain Powers. For example, the power to maintain their attention on a task, the power to delay a reaction, or the power to deal with changes.
Sustained attention, flexibility, goal-directed perseverance, and emotion regulation are some of the executive functions, or regulatory functions, of our brain. These are the functions we need to direct our behavior. Executive functions are crucial for your (school) success. Therefore, it's good to explicitly pay attention to them.
Brain Heroes is a twenty-week program that allows you to work thoughtfully on executive functions in your group. The executive functions have been translated into ten Brain Powers. For each power, you'll find playful activities and tips to strengthen the function.
Brain Heroes is also available for group 3-4, group 5-6, and group 7-8. This allows you to offer a continuous learning trajectory for executive functions at school.
In addition to the manuals, resources are also available, including the Brain Heroes sticker pack and Brain Heroes posters for the classroom.
