Summary:

Nienke loves to skate, preferably all day long. She trains for the Dutch championships and hopes to conquer Europe afterwards. For this, school and friends are often put on the back burner. That changes when Nienke hears at school one day that her Kurdish classmate Senna Ceçik was deported with her family that night. The whole class is sad and feels powerless.

Nienke experiences an additional emotion: her mother works for the police and was involved in the deportation. Nienke is furious and cannot understand how her mother is capable of such a thing. With her classmate Bob, she breaks into the Ceçik family's house looking for an address in Turkey where Senna might have gone. They don't find one. What they do find is a diary, in which Senna wrote about her life in Turkey. This is how they get to know a completely different Senna.
